Afternoon Tea @ Rufford Old Hall

Me and Billy visited Rufford Old Hall and, after having a nice look around the house and gardens, we decided to go for a little walk. After what seemed a long time in the heat, we were thankful to return to the Hall and even more thankful to see a tempting menu in the tearooms.
We opted to have the Rufford High Tea which was £6.40 per person, but the nice lady suggested we could share it and order another drink to go with it. It consisted of a selection of finger sandwiches (optional fillings), a scone, damson jam, clotted cream, madeira cake, butterfly cake, savoury scone, chutney, cheese and fruit cake - more than enough for both of us.

  1. What excellent value for money, and very thoughtful of them to suggest you share too as there is plenty there for two.
